Our Top 20 Quote of the day…We all have the power to make a positive difference in our lives.  However, when we operate like a Bottom 80 and blame, we give away that power.  We become stuck in yuck and keep getting what we don’t want to be getting.  Are you giving away power to make a positive difference in your life?  Is there something or someone that you are blaming?

Students when you leave at the end of the day please make sure your locker is closed.  Custodians are unable to run the scrubber with them open.  Thank you for your help with this.

Our Top 20 Quote of the day…When Bottom 80s don’t get what’s important to them, they usually do one of the following:  Change nothing.  They keep seeing things the way they always have, keep doing what they’ve always done, and get the same results they’ve always gotten.  Change only what they feel or do.  This might make a little difference but the difference won’t last long.  Blame someone else or the conditions for the bad results they’re getting.  They blame a teacher for giving out poor grades or a coach for not giving them enough playing time.  What do you do when you’re not getting what you want to be getting?

Our Top 20 Quote of the day… The way we see things influences how we feel about them.  How we feel influences what we do, and what we do influences what we get.  This idea is called “The Frame” or “See-Feel-Do-Get.”  We can use The Frame to look at situations and relationships differently in order to have a better experience.

Our Top 20 Quote of the day…We all have things in our lives that are important to us.  What’s important varies from person to person but, for most, it’s getting along with family members and friends, being healthy, doing well in school or at work, and doing well in extracurricular activities.  Both Top 20s and Bottom 80s want to get what’s important to them.  What’s different is that Top 20s know what to do when they are not getting what’s important.  They use what is called The Frame.  This month, we’re going to learn how to use The Frame.

Lunch announcement for all students in grades 7 and 8. Starting today, we are trying something new. 7th graders will be dismissed at 12:07 for lunch. All 7th graders will eat first. 8th graders will be dismissed at 12:09 and you will go directly into the gym. We will switch half way through lunch-at that time 7th grade will go into the gym and 8th grade will eat lunch. By making this change, all 7th and 8th graders will have gym everyday. We will have a divider in the gym so if you prefer to sit and chill with friends or play on your devices, you still can do that. Both 7th and 8th will be dismissed back to class at the same time, 12:39.This is NEW to all of us, let’s give it a try. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Our Top 20 Quote of the day….

The biggest opportunities for us to develop the Star Qualities of courage, self-confidence, and persistence are found outside our Comfort Zone.  It’s outside our Comfort Zone that we grow as Top 20s.  What is something outside your Comfort Zone that you would like to try or develop?
