Professional Background

In 1997 I graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, Studies, and Theatre: Speech Therapy.  I then graduated from the University of South Dakota with a Master of Arts degree in Speech Therapy in 1999.  I was the speech pathologist in the Edgerton Public Schools in SW Minnesota for 4 years.  I then went on to provide speech therapy services at what was then Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.  When we moved to SE Minnesota, I was a speech pathologist in area nursing homes for 2 1/2 years.  This is my 8th year at the K-M Elementary School!


All about Mrs. Irish

My husband Cole and I have been married for 17 years and have 3 wonderful children,  Caitlin (15), Avery (13), and Brooks (9).  Cole and I met at SDSU where I was the point guard on the womens' basketball team and he was a 3rd baseman for the baseball team!

My favorites
FOOD....I love italian and mexican food, chocolate, coffee, and Diet Coke
HOBBIES.....running, reading, spending time with my family
TEAMS.....I love the Twins, Vikings, and Tennessee Lady Volunteers basketball

Other interesting tidbits
I grew up in Mitchell, SD. 

I have 2 aunts and 2 cousins who are also speech therapists. 
YES!!! I am Irish!
