My name is Michael Bliss, and I am proud to be a KoMet! This is my 5th year at KMMS and my 8th year overall of teaching. I truly enjoy spending my days with my students, and the relationships that I am able to form are very special and important to me.
I am originally from Canby, MN and I attended South Dakota State University (Go Jacks!) where I attained my Bachelors Degree in Mathematics. From there, I taught in Worland, WY for one year before teaching and coaching for three years in Minneota, MN. I have taught math to 6th graders up through seniors, so I am well-versed in teaching all ages and subjects in mathematics. I have also coached basketball and golf and will continue to coach basketball here at K-M as the JV boys basketball coach.
Outside of school I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my wife, Rachel, my daughter, Eleanor, and our dog, Cooper. I enjoy golfing, staying active, watching football, and traveling. I value working hard but also taking time to enjoy the simple things in life, and I aim to instill those same traits into my students.
I am always available to talk to any students or parents, so please never hesitate to contact me via email.
