My name is Isaac Heins, and I am so excited to be one of the 7th and 8th grade Language Arts teachers at Kasson-Mantorville Middle School for the upcoming 2022-23 school year. As a 2014 K-M grad, I am extremely excited to be back at my alma mater to teach and help the next generation of KoMets to achieve KoMet Excellence.

A little bit about me: after graduating from Kasson-Mantorville in 2014, I attended Luther College in Decorah, IA - go Norse! After four great years at Luther, I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in English Education, with a minor in Communication Studies. I taught for a year out in Marshall, MN, before coming back to the area to teach at Faribault High School for three years. My first year at Kasson-Mantorville will be my fifth year teaching overall.

Outside of teaching, I live with my fiancée, Jessica, our dog, Juneau, and our cat, Bella, in Owatonna. I enjoy being outdoors - Jess and I are currently working on making it to every State Park in Minnesota - but I also love to be curled up with a good book. I read anything I can get my hands on, which I feel is important as a Language Arts teacher. I also love to cook and bake, and I also write short stories. My hope is that one day, I can publish something. Finally, I am nearly finished with my Master's degree in English studies through Minnesota State University-Mankato; I will graduate in the summer of 2023.

I am so excited to get to know your child! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me - my school email is . It's going to be a great school year!
